Almost more difficult than writing the novel, is writing the blurb that goes with it! Between 100 and 150 words they say, so the trick is to introduce the book to my readers in that confine.
This is a first attempt, not sure it’s quite there yet:
Meet Tony, always quick with a joke, or a story, always happy to meet you for a drink. In his time he’s worn many different hats; He’s been a son, a brother, a partner and a lover. He’s been a factory worker and a salesman, managed a pub and a bed shop, and driven a Jaguar. He’s been married and divorced. He’s had one night stands and long term relationships. In other words, he’s just another guy.
This is Tony’s story, his path through life in the country lanes and villages of England, and, occasionally, other places too. At times funny, sometimes tragic, his adventures are very human. If there is a theme to his life, it is that he’s always looking to really Be Tony.
